Rosie’s podcast The Breakup Monologues has been nominated (again) in the Sex and Relationships category at the British Podcast Awards AND in the Comedy category at the Independent Podcast Awards.

Rosie on radio and TV to celebrate the paperback publication

Rosie appeared on The Graham Norton Radio Show on Virgin, Sunday Morning Live on BBC One, Times Radio and in Psychologies, Metro, Diva, Stylist and Glamour to celebrate the paperback publication of The Breakup Monologues.

The Breakup Monologues will come out in a dinky new paperback edition on January 19, which will be marked with a launch party at The Common Press bookshop in London.

Rosie's second book The Breakup Monologues was published by Bloomsbury in the UK on May 27. The book will come out in the US on July 27 and in Australia on August 3. 

The Breakup Monologues has had great reviews from The Observer, Red Magazine, Psychologies, The Morning Star, The Wee Review and many more. Rosie has also written features for Good Housekeeping, Stylist, The i, Tortoise, Sydney Morning Herald and more and she's been interviewed on a whole host of radio stations including Talk Radio, Times Radio, BBC 6 Music and Triple J and podcasts including Postcards from Midlife, Your Next Episode, Standard Issue, Insane in the Fem Brain, Writer's Routine and Drunk Women Solving Crime.

Rosie's second book to be published by Bloomsbury

Rosie's second nonfiction book The Breakup Monologues has been signed by Bloomsbury health and wellbeing imprint Green Tree. The book, based on her podcast of the same name, will be published in June 2021.

Rosie's podcast The Breakup Monologues receives Wellcome award and British Podcast Awards nomination

The Breakup Monologues is one of eleven recipients of the Pulse Award, an initiative from the British Podcast Awards and Wellcome. Rosie will present a two-part mini-season called My Chemical Romance? exploring whether recent medical advances have brought chemical control of our romantic lives within our grasp ... and whether this is something that people want.
The Breakup Monologues has also been nominated by the judging panel in the Best Sex and Relationships Podcast category at the 2020 British Podcast Awards.

Rosie's book longlisted for the Polari First Book Prize and continues to get lovely press coverage

Rosie's book has been longlisted for the Polari First Book Prize 2018 which recognises the best LGBTQ debuts published this year. The longlist was announced at the popular literary salon at London's Southbank Centre and reported in The Bookseller. Rosie was on the front cover of The Dulwich Diverter and was interviewed by Bristol 247, Ink Pantry, Made Up, Margate Bookie and Foundry Fox   and by a Guardian freelancer for this feature, reviewed by Louder Than War and featured by The Tung. She also spoke to the Humans In Love podcast, The Climax, Adulting podcast, Homo Sapiens podcast, Andy N's Spoken Label, Metro's Good Sex Bad Sex and Radio Gorgeous.

Rosie's new project The Breakup Monologues launches as a podcast and blog

Rosie's brand new project The Breakup Monologues, supported by Arts Council England, has launched as a podcast (recommended by Metro as one of the top 5 love and relationships podcasts) and blog. The next live event is on Feb 13 at Poplar Union. The Breakup Monologues features a rotating cast of acclaimed, mostly female, performers telling Rosie their tales of romantic endings. She spoke about it on BBC Woman's Hour

Rosie's book Is Monogamy Dead? continues to get lovely reviews

Is Monogamy Dead? had yet more fabulous reviews from the Morning Star , Headstuff, Norwich Radical, HeyWhatsOnNotts, Review 31 and on Bibliobeth's blog. The Idler made it their Book of the Week ahead of Rosie speaking at their dinner event. Boundless Lit magazine featured a special extract on Valentine's Day. Grazia interviewed her about the idea of a relationship 'gap year', one of many strategies discussed in the book. Meanwhile, Refinery 29 quizzed her about 'love affair friendships' and The Guardian commissioned an article. Rosie also spoke to The Riff Raff on their podcast ahead of guesting at their live event, to Nichi Hodgson on her new podcast The Curious Nature of Sex, to the Guilty Feminist team and was invited onto The Spectator's main podcast after her discussion of monogamy with literary editor Sam Leith proved to be their most successful books podcast ever!

Rosie's book shortlisted for an award

Rosie's book Is Monogamy Dead? has been shortlisted in the Memoir category alongside Susan Calman, Roxane Gay and Juliet Jacques in the Diva Literary Awards. The winners will be announced at the festival on 3 November in Birmingham. Vote here

Rosie's book Is Monogamy Dead? got four stars in the Mail on Sunday, a lovely full-page review in The Amorist and she wrote this article for The Telegraph. The Irish Times published an extract and Hot Press ran this feature. Book bloggers Emily Williams, Book Drunk, Books Of All Kinds, Bibliomaniac and Linda's Book Bag have also raved about it. Rosie also spoke to The Spectator's books podcast, The High Low show and Soho Radio. Funny Women and Words Across Time also posted lovely reviews. Bradford bloggers Jane and Bex did an interview ahead of Rosie's events at Bradford Literature Festival and Last Night I Dreamt Of did one ahead of her appearance at Off The Shelf. Is Monogamy Dead? is available now to order from Amazon and all good bookshops. Producer Wanted!

My creative life is getting excitingly hectic. So, I want to start working with a producer, ideally looking ahead to 2017 and beyond to a longer term partnership. Maybe it's you... Or someone you know...?
My new solo show The Conscious Uncoupling has been picking up lovely reviews and was programmed by Southbank Centre for their Festival of Love 2016. It follows Nineties Woman which was funded by Arts Council England, toured the UK to great reviews and is being made into a documentary.
My book Is Monogamy Dead will be out with Accent Press next July and I hope to take The Conscious Uncoupling to Edinburgh next August and that the two things will cross-promote nicely. I also have plans for a sort of 'breakup monologues' where other artists will share their breakup stories with me.
My spoken word chat show / podcast recording Queer'Say has received Arts Council England funding for a third successive year and visits Wilderness festival, Cheltenham Literature Festival, Tate Modern and more. Resonance FM is our broadcast partner.
I have also been commissioned by Science Gallery London / Wellcome Trust to deliver a new project called The Science of Snogging, in collaboration with Amie Taylor. We performed a test version at Latitude Festival last Friday.
If you have experience taking shows on tour, dealing with venues, fundraising (especially via ACE and Wellcome) and generally getting artists like me up to the next level, I would love to hear from you.
I have a funding bid currently in which would provide your first £1000.
After that, we would work together to generate our income. The events all have a great track record at attracting funding. So the money will be there if we think creatively and work hard.

New show The Conscious Uncoupling receives 5 star and 4 star reviews

Rosie's new solo show has been awarded 5 stars and hailed 'one of the highlights of Brighton Fringe' by Remote Goat website, described as 'tender and exquisite' in a 4 star review from Everything Theatre and 'hilarious to heart-wrenching' in another 4 star review by Female Arts. And in yet more 4 star reviews, it was described as 'charming and intimate... a very honest show'  by The Reviews Hub, 'not only funny, but rather moving too' by The Wee Review and 'poignant, personal and frequently hilarious' by Grumpy Gay Critic. The Croydon Citizen described the show as 'poignant, funny and universal' and Fringe Review gave it a Highly Recommended rating. Rosie also spoke about the show on BBC London, Three Weeks podcast and Soho Radio and in interviews with This Week London, The Skinny and Brixton Bugle. The Conscious Uncoupling was also shortlisted for Funny Women Best Show 2016.

Rosie's Queer'Say event receives Arts Council England funding for another season

Arts Council England have supported Rosie's Queer'Say event for a third successive year. At each event, Rosie introduces short sets from three spoken word performers and then interviews them live onstage. It's all recorded for her award-winning radio show Out In South London on Resonance 104.4FM. A packed 2016 season includes events at Tate Modern, Wilderness Festival and Cheltenham Literature Festival.

Rosie signs a publishing deal

Rosie has been accepted onto the world-renowned LAMBDA writer's retreat for LGBTQ voices this July, where she will be working on the book in a nonfiction group tutored by Sarah Schulman. You can donate to her tuition and board here and help her to make this opportunity a reality.

New trailer available for The Conscious Uncoupling

Here's a trailer for Rosie's new solo show The Conscious Uncoupling. It was filmed by Amie Taylor at the show premiere at Tristan Bates Theatre First Festival. Feedback to the performance was overwhelmingly positive as you can see from the tweets cut into the video. The song featured is Rosie's old song Your Ghost from her album Precious Hours.

Rosie wins an award

Rosie won best LBQ Comedian at the Planet Awards, also dubbed the 'lesbian Oscars.' Unfortunately, she couldn't pick up the award in person as she was busy hosting an event at BFI Flare but sent a message of thanks for being recognised at this event celebrating the grassroots queer community in London.
